Willie Nelson
Willie was born 5/6/03. He has matured into a trusted friend and outstanding LGD. When we moved to the new farm which is bigger than our previous farm, we decided to get help for Willie. We purchased a female puppy, Wynona, born 6/9/06. At first, Willie looked at us with an "are you crazy?" look. Nona is now Willie's best friend and an incredible addition to the farm. Willie did a great job training her. They are an incomparable team, however, Nona is still a puppy, a huge puppy!

Willie Nelson is our livestock guard dog, born in a pasture full of sheep and has lived in our pasture since we brought him home at 6 weeks old. He is a challenge every day. His primary function is to alert us to anyone or anything on the farm and he is terrific. We observe him sniffing the air and then barking. We then hear the yips of the coyotes as they leave. He is incredible, however, he is a puppy, a huge, Great Pyrenees puppy. He also helps us by testing the electric fence every day. We just love him and the animals love him, however, we anxiously await his maturity.
